I'm Zaniar. MadeSimple is my studio.
I build technology that has to work. For 15 years that meant banks, insurers and global brands. Most recently, I led the build of an AI platform for a Tier-1 global bank.
Now I bring that standard to businesses of every size. Whether you run a small team or a large enterprise, you deal with me directly, and I'll tell you honestly what's worth building.
Background

I started in software delivery in 2011. My work grew from building and releasing applications into cloud platforms, data services and AI systems for large organisations.
That includes a data platform and research assistant for an asset manager, and a platform for internal AI workers at a Tier-1 global bank. Since March 2026, I've worked in insurance across AI adoption, Azure and AWS cloud platforms, data and systems integration.
I studied biochemical engineering at UCL. What still interests me is understanding how things work, finding a useful approach and building something people can put to work.

Career
The experience behind the work.
2011–2022
Building and releasing software
I started in software delivery in 2011, then moved into cloud engineering and automated releases across telecoms, financial services and other businesses.
2022–2024
Data and cloud platforms
At an asset manager, I worked on an Azure and Snowflake data platform and built a research retrieval agent that could work across both structured and unstructured data sources.
2024–2026
AI workflow platform for a bank
I led the build of an AI workflow platform for a tier-1 bank: a Python service backend, tool and API connections, grounded document answers with cited sources, an evaluation harness, and assistants across Teams and internal portals.
March 2026–present
AI and cloud consultant in insurance
I now work as an AI and cloud consultant in insurance, covering Azure and AWS, AI adoption, tooling, systems integration, data and cloud.
My own products
I build my own products, too.
PhotoScanRestore is my own web and mobile product for preserving family photos. I work on the experience people see and the systems behind it, from AI restoration and photo libraries to accounts, payments and email.
Building a product means working through the small details as well as the big idea: how someone starts, where they get stuck and what happens after launch. That experience informs my client work.

Talk it through
Tell me about the business, the problem or the idea. You don't need a technical brief to start.
Step 2
Agree what is worth doing
I'll recommend an approach and set out the scope and cost before any work starts. If there is a simpler answer, I'll say so.
Step 3
Build it and put it to work
I build the agreed solution, test it with you and show you how to use it. Any ongoing support is agreed as part of the work.
